A modern interpretation of a formal estate house, this bespoke detached dwelling is comprised of a series of stacked blocks, arranged to maximise the benefits of the rural site.  The living accommodation has been orientated to take advantage of the sunlight throughout the day, while the private accommodation on the first floor utilises the flat roofs to create a series of private roof terraces.  The exterior of the dwelling is formed using a palette of traditional materials, stone, render and timber, in a contemporary manner to create this eye-catching modern home.  The subtle front entrance gives visitors the opportunity to experience the natural materials with a beautiful stone ‘wing wall’ that frames the approach.  A number of dramatic cantilevers to the exterior provide the opportunity for sheltered outside spaces, in addition to the daytime and evening patios.
